What we publish in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu news, how it is put together, and what we do when we get it wrong.

Who publishes this

BJJ Game Builder is published by PPCWAY, Sole proprietorship (JDG) registered in CEIDG, Poland. The registered address and tax identifier are printed in full on our terms and privacy policy. What gets published, and what does not

There is no daily quota, and most days produce nothing. A briefing is published when at least two developments are genuinely worth a reader's time; a single story gets a page of its own only when it is significant enough to justify one — a major championship result, a rules change, a disciplinary decision.

Deliberately excluded: rumours, speculation, "sources say" reporting, callouts and social-media exchanges, product and instructional promotion, and anything we cannot confirm. If something cannot be verified, it is not published rather than published with a hedge.

Sourcing

Facts come from primary sources wherever one exists — the federation, the promotion or the event the news is about, publishing about itself. Independent specialist reporting is used for discovery and for context, and a story carried by only one such publication is attributed to it in the text rather than stated flatly.

High-volume aggregation sites are used only as a signal that something may have happened. Nothing we publish rests on one.

Every source is linked, on the page, in a Sources section that names the publisher, says whether it is a primary source, and says which claim it supports. We would rather you check.

Originality

We do not reproduce, paraphrase or lightly rewrite other publishers' articles. Source material tells us what happened; the selection, the organisation, the background and the explanation are ours. Every draft is mechanically compared against the text of every source behind it, and one shared phrase of eight or more consecutive words blocks publication.

Automation, stated plainly

Discovery, deduplication, scoring and source verification are automated. A pipeline reads a fixed list of feeds and official news pages once a day, groups reports of the same event into one story, scores each on significance, source authority, corroboration and freshness, and decides whether the day justifies a page at all.

Drafting is machine-assisted, constrained to the facts the verification step produced. Nothing reaches this site automatically: every page is read and approved by a person, who is named in the record behind it, and automatic publication is switched off.

We do not invent bylines. Briefings are published under the organisation's name because that is what they are — assembled from other people's reporting, with our selection and our context — and attributing that to a reporter who did not report it would be a fabrication.

Technical claims about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Rules differ between organisations. An IBJJF rule is not an ADCC rule and neither is a promotion's own ruleset, so any claim about scoring, penalties, legality or format names the organisation whose rules it describes. Where a brief explains a technique or position, it is held to the same standard as our guides, and it carries the same notice they do: technique varies with your body, your experience and the situation, and your own coach is the authority on anything you do on the mat.

Dates

The publication date on a page is the day it was published. A modification date appears only when the text has actually changed. We do not restamp dates to make old pages look current.

Corrections

If we publish something wrong, the correction is added to the page, dated, saying what was wrong and what it now says. The page is not quietly rewritten and it is not deleted. Serious errors are corrected as soon as we know about them; write to [email protected] and it will reach somebody.

Independence

Nothing in this section is paid for, sponsored or supplied by an organisation we cover. We sell a training app, which is advertised at the foot of these pages and has no influence over what is reported. No source links are affiliate links.
